EAAP FABRE-TP Session 2019

Gene editing: Can we afford (not) to use precision technologies in livestock breeding?

The EAAP 2019 Conference is set to take place in the historic city of Ghent, Belgium, this August. As part of this annual gathering, FABRE TP will be hosting a special session, the FABRE TP Challenge, on the morning of August 28th.

This year, we delve into an engaging and pertinent subject - “Gene Editing: Can we afford (not) to use precision technologies in livestock breeding?”. Recognizing the significance of this topic, we are eager to invite speakers who will shed light on the techniques, opportunities, and limitations of Genome Editing in animal breeding.

Furthermore, the discussion will extend to the existing and potential future legal frameworks, as well as the ethical considerations surrounding this field. We look forward to a thought-provoking session that will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing dialogue in this critical area of study.
