Setting the Research Agendas across Europe: FABRE TP presents the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda in Aquaculture Breeding and Genetics
With the launch of the EU Ocean Pact, FABRE TP is proud to contribute with its Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for Aquaculture Breeding and Genetics. Developed through dialogue with experts and inputs from stakeholders, the document outlines shared research and innovation priorities in the sector to support sustainable and competitive aquaculture in Europe.
Leveraging European Technology Platforms to boost Europe’s public and private R&I outcomes
FABRE Technology Platform (FABRE TP), along with 17 other European Technology Platforms (ETPs), calls on the European Commission to reaffirm its support for ETPs in the next EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation succeeding Horizon Europe (FP10). The role of ETPs is vital in bridging the gap between research outputs, innovation transfer, and societal needs. Since their establishment in 2003, ETPs have aligned research priorities to address Europe’s pressing challenges, fostering collaboration across sectors and translating research into marketable solutions. FABRE TP is committed to advancing animal breeding and genetics for sustainable food production, ensuring Europe remains at the forefront of agricultural innovation.
